I am an emergency physician, working as the residency director in the OLVG hospital in Amsterdam. Located right in the city centre, our department is proud to be a host for almost 80.000 patients a year, most of which are on drugs. I have taken an interest in education since university and have been involved in several projects aimed at improving teaching in an emergency medicine setting.
My current interests are developing the dutch emergency medicine curriculum in order to grow a more mature medical specialty and the art of making complex workflows as simple as possible.
I live in Amsterdam with my wife and two children, am slightly optimistic in nature and a big fan of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.
